Stand in an athletic stance facing the barbell with the weighted end on the floor ahead of you.
Lower into a squat as the bar moves toward the shoulder, then extend the knees and hips while driving the bar forward. Return under control and repeat.
Modified demonstration: the athlete handles a floor-anchored bar with one hand while the other arm balances. The book specifies holding the barbell in both hands for 6.48.
