I’m Phil Halfmann, a fashion and beauty campaign photographer working between Germany and Miami. I help brands turn creative concepts into bold, editorial imagery designed for launches, websites, paid media, PR and ongoing content.
My role combines campaign photography, creative collaboration, production planning and on-set direction. The result is a coherent visual system—not a disconnected collection of images.

A successful campaign image needs creative impact. It also needs a clear purpose.
Too often, brands organize photoshoots as isolated creative events. The images may be strong, yet the final delivery lacks essential formats, product coverage, campaign variations or enough continuity to work across platforms.
I start with the campaign objective, audience, visual direction, required deliverables, intended channels and image usage. Those decisions guide the lighting, composition, model direction, shot progression and variations we create.
This keeps the photography distinctive while making it more useful across launches, paid advertising, websites, e-commerce, PR and always-on content.
My contribution begins before I pick up the camera and continues through selection, delivery and licensing.

Before photography, I worked in high-performance sport. I earned a master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Florida International University, worked in tennis and strength and conditioning within the NCAA Division I environment, and wrote Advanced Concepts of Strength & Conditioning for Tennis.
Coaching taught me to prepare thoroughly, communicate clearly, notice small details and help people perform confidently under pressure. Those disciplines now shape how I direct talent and run a production—while leaving enough room for movement, expression and unexpected creative moments.
Working between Germany and Miami has exposed me to different creative markets, production cultures, teams and visual influences.
My portfolio includes fashion editorials, beauty campaigns, product photography, designer collections, multi-brand productions and ongoing content collaborations. I work with founders, creative directors, agencies, models, stylists, hair and makeup artists and internal marketing teams.
I am also a Getty Images contributor. This international experience helps me adapt to different production scales while maintaining a consistent standard of planning, communication and visual execution.
Three examples of how creative direction, production planning and channel requirements shape the final image system.

An inclusive beauty concept translated into a cohesive image set through careful lighting, talent direction and production coordination.

Mood boards, wardrobe, location and shot-list decisions established the direction before the camera came out.

Photography, product imagery, behind-the-scenes content and short advertising videos were coordinated within one production.
Every collaboration begins with understanding what the brand is trying to achieve, what the assets must accomplish and how the photography will be used.
A focused production can be the right fit for a product launch, seasonal collection, rebrand, lookbook, advertising campaign or specific editorial and PR moment.
Even for one campaign, I plan around the complete asset requirement rather than treating the work as an isolated shoot.
An ongoing partnership is designed for brands that need consistent visual direction, regular photography and short-form video, predictable production and fewer last-minute content gaps.
The value is long-term continuity and more efficient planning—not simply producing a greater volume of images.
I primarily work with fashion, beauty, skincare, lifestyle and design-led brands that value strong creative execution and thoughtful planning.
The collaboration is likely to be a good fit if your team:
Typical collaborators include founders, creative directors, marketing directors, brand managers, agencies, e-commerce teams and performance-marketing teams.
