Physio Ball Push-Up to Single Limb Raise (I)

Exercise demonstration

Demonstration note: This footage shows the arm-raise option with both feet on the ball. The tennis-ball chest target described in the book is not clearly visible.

Starting position

Set both feet on a physio ball and place the hands beneath the shoulders in a straight push-up position.

How to perform the exercise

Lower through a controlled push-up, press to extended elbows, then lift one arm from the floor for a brief hold. Replace the hand and repeat.

Coaching points

Keep both feet supported on the ball and resist rotation through the hips. The video illustrates the arm-raise option of this single-limb progression.
