How to Perform the Exercise

Start with the bar on the floor in a deadlift position. Extend the knees and hips in a controlled first pull; once the bar passes the knees, extend explosively, jump and shrug while pulling the bar close to sternum height with elbows pointing sideways.

Technique Cue

Keep the first pull controlled, the bar close to the body and the spine neutral.
