Watch the complete movement and follow the technique cues below.
Place the bar across the upper trapezius, stand slightly wider than shoulder width, then flex the hips and knees into a squat before extending to stand.
Keep the spine and head neutral, chest open and weight through the heels. Keep the bar off the cervical spine.

Set the bar across the upper back, bend through the hips and knees with the chest up, then stand fully. Keep weight distributed through the heels and the head and spine aligned; do not rest the bar on the neck.
