How to Perform the Exercise

Rest the bar on the chest and shoulders with elbows pointing forward. Flex the hips and knees into a squat, then extend both to stand.

Technique Cue

Keep the elbows high and the torso upright while distributing weight through the heels.

Book Technique and Progression

Support the bar across the shoulders with elbows forward, squat while maintaining an upright trunk, and return to standing. Build the movement pattern with the unloaded dynamic squat first.
