Place a tennis ball at sternum height beneath the chest and begin in a controlled push-up position.
Lower and press up, then extend one arm with the opposite leg. From that raised position, bring the lifted elbow and knee toward one another beneath the trunk, pause briefly, and extend them again before returning to the floor. Repeat on the other side.
Move slowly enough to keep the hips and shoulders steady throughout the extension and flexion phases.
Equipment: Tennis ball and exercise mat or suitable floor.
