Push-Up to Contralateral Limb Raise (II)

Exercise demonstration

Starting position

Set a tennis ball at sternum height beneath the chest. Begin in a straight push-up position with hands placed to either side.

How to perform the exercise

Perform a push-up toward the ball and press to the top. Lift one arm and the opposite leg together, hold briefly, then replace both. Repeat after the next push-up with the other arm and leg.

Coaching points

Resist rotation through the trunk; keep the lifted limbs long and maintain a stable support arm and leg.

Equipment: Tennis ball and exercise mat or suitable floor.
