How to Perform the Exercise
Lie face up on a mat with the knees straight and legs vertical. Reach both hands toward the feet, lifting the upper body in a controlled curl. Lower slowly while keeping the legs steady.
Technique Cue
Avoid swinging the legs or jerking the trunk to reach higher.
Book Technique and Progression
Book difficulty: 1 (the book’s exercise rating). Check the prerequisites and use loading suited to your technique and training history.
Keep the legs vertical and reach both hands toward the feet, lifting the upper body under control. Avoid using leg swing or a jerk to complete the repetition.
